Welcome to Inkfree, an electronic signature service provided by SoftSages Technology ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled in a secure and responsible manner. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using our website and services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please be informed that we are unable to meet your needs at this time.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information
This can include your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and any other information you voluntarily provide by filling in any forms on our website or by corresponding with us by email, live chat, phone or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you register to use our services and when you contact us for any reason. When you register for our services, we will ask for a range of information we need to collect in order to set up your account and engage one or more of our upstream email service or SMS service providers to handle your emails or SMS. If you contact us, we may keep a record of any information contained in the correspondence.
1.2 Usage Information
We may collect information about your interaction with our website and services, including but not limited to IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, referral URLs, page views, and access times.
1.3 Document Information
When you use our electronic signature service, we collect and store the documents you upload, along with any annotations, signatures, and timestamps associated with those documents.

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience on our website. These technologies help us to remember your preferences, analyze trends, and improve our services.
1.5 Recipient Information
When a user sends a document for signature, we collect the recipient information they provide, which may include name, email address, and mobile phone number, in order to deliver the document and related notifications.
2. How we use your information
We may use your information for the following purposes:
- To provide you with information or services that you request from us, including responding to any requests for assistance with the service;
- To provide and improve our services, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, and statistical purposes.
- To send you newsletters about our service and notify you about any changes to the service via email and/or SMS;
- To customize and enhance your experience on our website.
- To communicate with you about security alerts, and support inquiries.
- To comply with legal requirements and protect our rights.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
Mobile phone numbers, including those of document recipients, are collected solely to deliver transactional SMS notifications and are not sold, rented, traded, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Recipient mobile numbers are shared only with our SMS delivery provider for the purpose of sending those notifications.
We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website and providing our services. These third parties are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
4. Security
4.1 General
We take the security of your information seriously. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
4.2 Personal
We afford users the option to submit a request for the removal of their data from our system once the original purpose for its provision has been fulfilled.

You have the right to:

- Close your account and request the deletion of your information.

5.1 Account Deletion
You may request to permanently delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@inkfree.app or through your account settings, where available. Once you submit a deletion request, your account will be deactivated and enter a 30-day cooling-off period before the deletion is finalized. During this period, you may cancel the request and restore your account by signing in or contacting us.
If the request is not canceled within 30 days, your account and associated data, including uploaded documents, signatures, and related records, will be permanently deleted, subject to any legal, tax, or regulatory retention obligations described elsewhere in this policy. Deletion is irreversible once completed, so we recommend downloading any documents you wish to keep before the cooling-off period ends.
6. Privacy Policy for Google Drive Integration
6.1 Integration with Google Drive
Inkfree application integrates with Google Drive using Google Drive API. This allows you to seamlessly access and transfer your documents stored in Google Drive to our application for further use.
6.2 Data Accessed
The only data accessed from Google's APIs are the specifically selected documents opened using the Inkfree app by the user. No other documents within the user's Google Drive, Google Docs, or Gmail are accessed. A copy of each document is made so that it may be sent through Inkfree eSignature. None of the data gathered may be used for marketing purposes or given to any affiliates. Inkfree adheres to Google's Limited Use Requirements.
6.3 Security
We take data security very seriously. We utilize industry-standard security measures to protect your documents during transfer and storage within our application. We adhere to Google's security practices for Google Drive API integration.
7. AI Assistant Connectors
7.1 What the Connector Does
Inkfree offers a connector, built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), that lets you use Inkfree from an AI assistant you choose, such as ChatGPT or Claude. After you sign in to Inkfree and approve the connection on our consent screen, the assistant can act on your behalf within your Inkfree account: listing and reading envelopes, templates, folders, web forms and reports, and, when you ask it to, sending, resending, voiding, sharing, moving, renaming or deleting envelopes and templates. The connector can only reach the Inkfree account you signed in with.
7.2 Information We Collect
When an assistant registers to connect, we store its name and the web address it returns you to after sign-in. We use the IP address of the registration request to limit abuse, and we record it in our security logs. When you connect, we store an authorization record for your account and issue access tokens. Each time the assistant uses a connector tool, we record who made the request, your account, the tool used, the time, the outcome, and the details the assistant supplied (for example signer names and email addresses when it sends an envelope). We do not record the results the tools return.
7.3 Information Returned to Your Assistant
The information the assistant receives depends on what you ask it to do, and can include document and envelope names, signer names, email addresses, signing status and order, envelope audit trails (including the names, email addresses and IP addresses recorded when documents were viewed and signed), links to download your documents, and usage reports for users in your account.
7.4 How We Use It
We use this information only to operate the connector: to authenticate you, to carry out the actions you request, to enforce usage limits, to keep a security record of actions taken through the connector, and to investigate problems. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
7.5 Who Receives It
Information the connector returns is sent to the AI assistant provider you chose to connect (for example OpenAI for ChatGPT, or Anthropic for Claude). That provider handles it under its own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control, so please review them before connecting. We do not share connector data with any other third party, apart from the hosting and infrastructure providers that already process your Inkfree data as described in this policy.
7.6 Retention
Access tokens expire after one hour. Refresh tokens expire after 90 days without use. Expired and revoked authorizations, and assistant registrations that no longer have an active connection, are deleted automatically, usually within a day. Records of connector tool use are kept in our security logs for up to 400 days.
7.7 Your Choices
Connecting an assistant is optional, and nothing is shared with it until you sign in and approve the connection. You can disconnect at any time by removing the Inkfree connector in your assistant's settings, after which it can no longer renew its access and any access already granted ends within one hour. To have us revoke every connection to your account, or to ask about the records described in this section, email privacy@inkfree.app.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
